The website needed to showcase not only the brilliant, museum-like quality of each mouthpiece, but also communicate a great deal of detail and content. It was critical that the site’s elegantly open design solution not be at the expense of the rich content and information desired by a serious musician before choosing a mouthpiece. In addition, it was essential that the e-commerce perform flawlessly, yet simply. The Navarro site is heavily CMS-driven, but uses the latest special compression software to enable very fast CSS loading. The site also utilizes social media through endorsing musicians and links to their blogs, Twitter feeds and video content. The result has been an early grass-roots buzz that has musicians already lining up for their own custom mouthpiece.
