Malvern agency wins in four different categories.
Malvern, PA, March 15, 2010 – Mangos, a full-service advertising agency, was honored with 8 ADDY Awards at last week’s Philadelphia Ad Club award ceremony. Spanning a variety of media, including television, interactive, outdoor and collateral, Mangos was recognized with four gold and four silver awards.
Mangos’ integrated campaign for the Bucks County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) received six ADDYs. Designed to help at-risk youth get out of dead-end jobs and into real careers, the work takes a no-nonsense, straight-forward approach. The website, which received a silver award, appeals to this jaded generation by featuring case stories of real kids telling real stories, as well as a You Tube channel and other social media components. The campaign also included a powerful poster campaign, which won three golds and two silvers, encouraging the youth to turn their lives around.
Mangos also received a silver award for a global television spot created for Cannondale bicycles. The spot, which ran during the Tour de France, resulted in a 42% increase in Cannondale web visits during this important sporting event. It was part of an integrated campaign designed to reestablish Cannondale as the bicycle company that fights to be different – not for the sake of being different, but for the sake of being the best.
And the agency also received a gold ADDY Award for Harbor Point’s 2008 Annual Report. This recognition comes in addition to two international design awards for this piece, from Communication Arts and Graphis.
Bradley Gast, President of Mangos, observes, “While we’re always thrilled to be recognized by our peers for our creative, what gives us the greatest satisfaction is when our clients feel the communication has served their purpose in the way that they want.”
The ADDY Awards competition is the industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence. Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the awards are designed to honor advertising excellence and to cultivate the highest standards in the industry.
